The role of Individual and Family Plan Sales Operations Consultant is vital in supporting our sales team and achieve our commitment to our members. We are committed to helping more Americans get reliable health insurance coverage by providing consumer-centric benefits members want at an affordable price. Candidate will focus on new business sales efforts and account management through reporting, communication, sales planning support, and operations. This position is full-time (40 hours per week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am to 5:30pm, local time. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work more than 40 hours during peak times of the year. *All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. Primary Responsibilities: Works closely with sales and other functional leaders to develop and maintain the operational infrastructure supporting sales through recruiting, training, and onboarding, troubleshooting issues, and providing recommendations for enhancements and continuous improvement of sales operations. Daily support of the sales function to minimize the administrative work of sales leaders. Responsibilities include: Coordinate events (recruiting, community meeting, member orientation) and related materials Handle inbound/ outbound calls to answer questions, explain benefits Coordinate local marketing/recruiting/ member orientation events with Sales Leaders and Marketing partners Analyze and report sales data Communicating changes to sales plans, network, product, benefits as needed Providing knowledge about customers and competitors from ongoing research and engagement Managing the operational logistics of sales meetings and activities Communicate Effectively and Manage Conflict by: Working collaboratively with others (both inside the sales unit as well as outside) to achieve goals Relate to others in an open and accepting manner and treat everyone with dignity and respect while focusing on inclusion and diversity to maximize team performance. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) OR HSD / GED with 4+ years relevant work experience 1+ year project coordination experience 3+ years demonstrated experienced in building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally Proficiency skill level with Microsoft Word (creating and modifying documents), Microsoft Excel (manipulating and sorting data, pivot tables, v-lookup, creating and modifying spreadsheets), Outlook (creating emails and calendar invites), and Microsoft PowerPoint (creating presentations; Teams) Travel up to 50% of time within this sales market area, seasonal Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in any other language Understanding Individual and Family (ACA) sales and marketing regulations and guidelines Completion of Federally facilitated Marketplace (FFM) training and certification (within 30 days of starting this position) Knowledge of the direct-to-consumer sales process and sales activities associated with generating leads, closing sales and enrolling new members Knowledge of internal processes/departments to support the sales process and assist in problem resolution (e.g., Marketing, Billing/Enrollment, Customer Service, etc.) Telecommuter Requirements: Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service UnitedHealth Group requires all new hires and employees to report their COVID-19 vaccination status. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400.
